Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 May 2026
This privacy policy explains what personal data HAVNIA collects when you use havnia.dk, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what rights you have. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your data.
1. Data controller
HAVNIA is the data controller for the personal data we process about you. We are a digital agency in Copenhagen, Denmark. If you have questions about this policy or about how we handle your data, you can contact us at hej@havnia.dk.
2. What data we collect — and why
We only collect the information you give us yourself, plus standard technical data about the visit. Specifically:
- Contact form
- When you write to us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. We use them solely to respond to your enquiry.
- AI visibility check
- When you use our free AI visibility check, we collect your business name, industry, city and email address. The information is used to perform the check and to follow up on your enquiry. We also temporarily process your IP address in memory to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse — it is not stored permanently and is not shared.
- Google Analytics
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, e.g. which pages are visited and where traffic comes from. This happens via cookies and only with your consent.
3. Legal basis
We process your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For the contact form and the AI visibility check, the basis is partly your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and partly our legitimate interest in responding to and following up on business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). For analytics via cookies, the basis is your consent. You can withdraw any consent at any time.
4. Third parties and data processors
To deliver our services we use a number of trusted providers that process data on our behalf. We only share what is necessary, and we never sell your information.
- Resend
- Delivers the emails we send to ourselves from the contact form and the AI visibility check. Processes the full content of your submission — for the contact form your name, email address and message; for the AI check your business name, industry, city, email address and the generated AI answer.
- OpenAI
- Powers our AI visibility check. We send only your industry and city to OpenAI to generate the AI answer — not your email address and not your business name.
- Zoho Mail
- Our email provider, where your enquiries are received and stored in our inbox.
- Vercel
- Hosts the website and processes standard technical log data as part of operations.
- Google Analytics
- Used for web analytics and sets cookies — only if you give consent. Involves transfer of data to the US.
Some of these providers (including Resend, OpenAI, Google and Vercel) may transfer data to countries outside the EU/EEA, including the US. Resend sends email via US infrastructure (Amazon SES). These transfers take place with appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies
The site uses cookies for web analytics (Google Analytics). We ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies, and you can always decline or withdraw your consent. Strictly necessary cookies that make the site work may be set without consent — for example a functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers your language choice.
6. Retention
Submissions from the contact form and the AI check exist only as emails in our inbox — we do not store them in any database. We keep them only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and for any reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted. We don't store data longer than we need to.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have a number of rights over your personal data:
- Access — you can find out what information we hold about you.
- Rectification — you can have incorrect information corrected.
- Erasure — in certain cases you can have your information deleted.
- Restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing.
- Objection — you can object to our processing.
- Data portability — you can receive your information in a common format.
- Withdrawal of consent — you can withdraw a given consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, write to us at hej@havnia.dk. We respond as soon as possible and within the deadlines GDPR prescribes.
You also have the right to complain to Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency) if you are unhappy with how we process your personal data. datatilsynet.dk
